Thermoelastic Behaviour of CsCN

Abstract

We have investigated the thermal and elastic properties of Cesium Cyanide (CsCN) by
means of Extended Three Body Force Shell Model (ETSM). The paper reports the elastic
constants up to fourth order and the thermodynamic properties such as molecular force constant
(f), Restrahlen frequency (ν), cohesive energy (φ), Debye temperature (θD) and Gruneisen
parameter (γ) of CsCN crystal for a temperature range of 155K≤T≤555K with the aid of
ETSM.
